More and Less

It was so pleasant outside this morning, rather than humid, I moved my time with the Lord on my deck.  A gentle breeze was blowing, birds were chattering, and the sun's rays were filtering through the leaves.  It fed my soul!  Tried to capture it with a picture, but it's not the same as experiencing it.

Awoke today with a heart overflowing with love and gratefulness.  Life is not easy.  I struggle with disappointment, toiling, and failures (self and others).  But overall there is much to be thankful for, much to be joyful about.  It seems the less I try to make myself, others, and circumstances "right", the more peace, rest and contentment He gives me.  

With a smile on my face and a twinkle in my eye, He is so upside down from my perspective.  And I've come to love that about Him.  It forces me to recognize more of Him in life and less of me.
