Melancholy
Feeling melancholy. There is a light rain falling and thunder gently rolls across the sky as I'm home waiting for hubby to come home from the hospital. He is visiting his mother whose health has recently become grave and had to be hospitalized overnight. Right now, it's he, his sister, his dad and mom in a room together. And as I thought about it, what joy his mother must be feeling to have just the four of them, the original clan, together. I've never thought about how our little "team", if life goes as anticipated, will become a bigger team, as the kids become adults with families and responsibilities of their own. I expect and hope to love the additions to the team as my own. But I can also see myself, at times, missing just being the smaller team too. I am grateful the Lord is granting them this time and hope it ministers to them.
