Timing

It's been since October since we've met and talked with our social worker about adopting and had our first home study.  It was only suppose to take a few weeks before we'd be moving on to the next step.  But we heard nothing.

Since the holidays hit, I had decided to wait until the first of the year before contacting her again.  Then she ran into me a couple of weeks ago and I got the scoop.  The state is holding things up, for us as well as everyone else.  So we're still on.  Just waiting for the bureaucracy to get moving.

Unreturned phone calls and emails, missed appointments and now this. Sometimes I think the process is set up to weed out the faint of heart.  Never a dull moment when dealing with a government entity.  Believing in God's sovereignty, I am resting in His timing.  It trumps everything else.
